Elder Dr. Elizabeth Herron of Karida Buddhist Sangha is the "point person" for the El Morro Sangha. She is responsible for organizing and arranging our gatherings as well as being the lead administrator for our facebook page. We are very grateful for her support and continued service to the Buddha Dharma. You may contact her at email@example.com.
After many years, we have suspended the teaching of the Wellness Tai Chi form created by Master Mok Lau. The video remains available to anyone who is interested in working with it on their own. Please contact Sensei Reed Anderson.
Students of the Wu Family Long Form Tai Chi are now meeting in the 9:30AM - 11:00AM time Sundays, at the Old School Gallery. There is always room for beginners, whether or not you've had any tai chi experience in the past. Please join us!
All Tai Chi classes with Reed meet in the Old School Gallery, El Morro Village.
Sangha meetings are usually about one-and-a -half hours long and include Sutra chanting, Calm Abiding meditation, Dharma study with discussion, and prayers for the benefit of all beings. First time visitors are welcome. Meeting site changes. Call 505-783-4067 for information.
The Heart Sutra, universally associated with the Bodhisattva Kuan Shih Yin, is chanted in our meetings. Click here to read and hear thepoint-person entire Sutra.
Between November 2008 and September 2010 our El Morro Sangha published and mailed out brief two-page newsletters under the title, "Dharma Soup." If you would like to see some of these back copies click on our "newsletter archive" in the left-hand navigation bar.
